Earth Day 2023 Schedule of Events

Get ready to celebrate our beautiful planet and join us for Earth Day, the annual event that inspires us all to protect and preserve the environment!  Our local community groups have teamed up to create an amazing showcase of events that are sure to be both fun and educational. From interactive workshops to outdoor activities, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

April 21, pre events 

9:00 am:   
Naramata Citizens Association

Team up with your neighbours from the Naramata Citizens Association for the invasive weed pull and Elm control
Location:  Manitou Park
 

I:00 pm:   
Naramata School and RDOS
Join the Naramata School students and RDOS for the Global Cleanup, picking up garbage to beautify our community spaces

April 22, Earth Day Events

Garage sales
Location:  all over the village, watch for homeowner's signs

Naramata Community Church
Bake Sale, refreshments, and yard sale, all proceeds support the church

Check out the amazing clothing selection.  Exchange or borrow gently used clothing to reduce waste and promote a more sustainable lifestyle.

Learn about climate change, new technologies to reduce your carbon footprint, and check out Fred and the EV's on display

Jenn and Dan from the Naramata Seed Savers discuss bean findings and offer yummy tastings of the 2022 Okanagan Protein Challenge

Naramata Permaculture Farm Garden
Drop by the Naramata Permaculture Farm Garden to learn about permaculture, dig a plant, leave some seeds at the Snail Seed Library or take a Garden Tour offered at 10:15 am, 11:15 am and 12:15 pm
